The gameplay is very fun, but smacking people with clubs gets boring after awhile. Jason’s arc was way too rushed, and the best character was barely in the game. The story however I feel is very overrated. The map is very boring and has many copy and pasted buildings, but does look very vibrant and beautiful. It has the least amount of mechanics meaning it’s the weakest. The gameplay in this game did shape the rest of the franchise, but it also has the weakest gameplay due to this. I just feel that as someone who played this game a few months ago, it’s just too dated compared to the other games. I don’t think far cry has a single bad game in the franchise, and I don’t dislike this game.
